What is the best form of magnesium to take if you have gerd

But I just want to know what you think is generally the best form of magnesium without the least side effects. I even saw some people (not one) saying citrate is better for them as chelated magnesium in overall reviews. I found various opinions and experiences of people on these. I'd like to ask you, to know your opinions, your experiences mainly on other forms of magnesium as they seem way better than citrate (and others): magnesium orotate and chelated magnesium forms - glycinate (bisglycinate), malate and magnesium taurate. Of course there are worse forms of magnesium - like oxide or chloride, which are not as common as magnesium citrate in pharmacies as they have extremely low bioavailability, but you can find them there for a cheaper price (also used for heartburn).

As to what I know, citrate doesn't even have that high bioavailability.

Anyway I am trying to step away from citrate due to my IBS. Citrate is most common type of magnesium that you can find in pharmacy. It's even harder in relation to my question, as I heard some people say citrate is better for them than XY type of magnesium and some that citrate is worst for them, as it has pretty strong laxative effects on them (poo a lot). I know it's sometimes nearly impossible to say whether one or another thing is better - what is the best.
